This is a post  analysing Bill's character in all my slightly interesting quotes in the episode. I would like to thank Chakoteya transcripts.

My current theory is that Modern!Clara is Clara 1, and that something happens after now that changes her.
My current theory is that Clara is the Great Intelligence.
My current theory is that something is rewriting her timeline - I only hope it's Clara.
My current theory is that Clara will become immortal; not never-dying, but every time she dies she comes back to life. (Doctor Who? Clara Oswin Oswald)

Well. I didn't do too badly. First one is right. Got that the Great Intelligence would be involved.  Hmm.

I really need to know how this is going to play out. Will she remember everything? Maybe just when she chooses too? Moffat does in general tend to go for "yeah, they remember it" for everything, so I'm not too worried. And maybe her character will move more towards what Oswin and Victorian!Clara were like?

Really, really good and I loved it. Just generally really good. Best of this part of the season so far. Scary in parts, good explanation for the ghost, the last reveal was so perfectly Doctor Who. Clara's interaction with the TARDIS was funny and interesting. The whole feel of it was lovely. Jumping through time, psychochronography, appealed to me.

Journey
It could have been a lot better, but it wasn't too bad. I liked all the different rooms.

What did give way were the promises she had been made about her character. “I was a very good dancer and had been an acrobat. They told me Susan was going to be an Avengers-type girl – with all the kapow of that – plus she would have telepathetic powers. She was going to be able to fly the Tardis as well as her grandfather and have the most extraordinary wardrobe. None of that happened.” (x)

Can we rewrite time and get this Susan please? I like her. A lot. All I've seen of our Susan is An Unearthly Child, The Edge of Destruction and The Five Doctors. In T5D she twists her ankle and sits in the TARDIS with Turlough. (I think)

I'm a sucker for anything bathed in golden light, I've come to realise. Also space, also possibility being powerful. So all that, plus Clara with Mary/Merry and then saving the day, plus 11's speech about everything he's done that wasn't quite overblown (actually, I'm a sucker for that sort of speech too) made me adore this episode. It's lovely. I feel that is a key word in the Clara era, lovely. Oh, Amy was fine but I don't want to be like her, a little hollow and brittle and angry and perpetually broken. Clara has a presence I want to bathe in, warmth and sweet... come to think of it, I'm not sure how much of that comes just from the way JLC looks. She's so adorable.* She has brown hair and wonderful eyebrows. Hmm.

So if I never figured out if the big glowy thing was a planet or a star, and whether or not it was still there at the end of the episode, eh. I do not mind.

*Jenna is pretty and Freema is beautiful and Alex is gorgeous. And the others meh, I don't want to look like them.

My current theory is that Modern!Clara is Clara 1, and that something happens while she's travelling with the Doctor that lets her die twice and come back.

I liked it. It was cute. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't previously seen all the teaser clips: they were good moments but lost something for having been seen already. It was just a little bit lacking, though.

Best line: "I keep the book, 'cause I'm still going." Reversing the Doctor's assumption, and keeping faith in her own ability to fulfill her dreams of travel, and general lovely hopefulness.
